The Condition of Man
The Bible teaches that every person has sinned against God. No one is exempt.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
"For the wages of sin is death..."
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."
Sin is not merely breaking rules. Sin is rebellion against a holy God. Whether through actions, thoughts, motives, or words, every person has fallen short of God's perfect standard.
Because God is holy and just, sin carries a penalty. The payment for sin is death. This includes physical death, spiritual separation from God, and ultimately eternal judgment.
The reality is that we cannot save ourselves through good works, religion, church attendance, morality, or personal effort. We stand guilty before God and unable to fix our condition.

God's Provision
Although mankind is sinful, God loves us and made a way for our salvation.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a perfect, sinless life. He willingly went to the cross and took upon Himself the punishment that we deserved. Three days later, He rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death.
Because of Christ's sacrifice, forgiveness and eternal life are available to all who believe. Notice that salvation is a gift. It cannot be earned. It can only be received.

How to Be Saved
The Bible tells us that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Saving faith means trusting completely in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. It means turning from self-reliance and placing your trust in Him.
The invitation is open to everyone. No matter your past, your failures, or your sins, Christ offers forgiveness and salvation to all who come to Him in faith.

Prayer of Salvation
If you understand that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, and desire to place your faith in Him, you can pray:
"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I turn from my sin and place my trust in You alone as my Savior and Lord. Please forgive me, cleanse me, and give me eternal life. Thank You for Your grace, Your mercy, and Your gift of salvation. I surrender my life to You. In Jesus' name, Amen."
